Treating and training you and your horse

About Me
Born in Somerset, my love for horses started at the age of 4 year old when I was introduced to my neighbours horses. I was then lucky enough to go on to have my own ponies and be part of the Wylye Valley PC. Over the years I worked on many yards from helping out at my local riding school, race yards, Western riding stud yard, and as head traveling groom for a 5* Event rider where I gained so much valuable experience and knowledge. I went on to train at the European College of Bowen Studies and qualified as a Bowen Therapist in 2009 before going on to train and qualify as an Equine Bowen Therapist. Once qualified, I went out on my own and was very fortunate to sponsor professional riders Harry Meade and Millie Dumas, treating both themselves and their horses at all levels. I've been very lucky to work with so many wonderful horses and riders over the years and after relocating to Cornwall I decided to invest in the enthusiastic amateur rider by choosing new wonderful sponsored horse and rider combinations who are able to showcase the benefits of Treatment for horses.
As an equine practitioner I have developed my skills and use my abilities and knowledge as a qualified Equine Bowen therapist as a basis for my Equine Muscular Release treatments and integrate my stretch exercises to help improve the horses well-being. I have my BHS Stage II Teach, riding and care qualification and train people and their horses of all abilities, combining my own competition experience and biomechanical knowledge, to help people improve their relationship and performance with their horse and their horses overall well-being.
I chose my business name, The Horsewoman, as it encompasses my ability to treat and train both horses and people on multiple levels. I am very passionate about improving all horses welfare and educating people in ways they can positively impact their horses lives in a holistic way.
I believe we can showcase true holistic care of horses through equestrian sport to reach a wider audience by keeping horse welfare at the centre of competition. My love is British Eventing and I have been lucky enough to compete at BE Novice level in the past, but in recent years I have focused my attention on rehabilitating and retraining horses including my own thoroughbred ex race horses.

Outside of horses, I love spending time with my family exploring beaches, learning to surf, walking the dogs and going to music festivals.
